On October 17, Tanel Kiik, Minister of Social Affairs and Riina Solman, Minister of Population, solemnly awarded the labels to the companies participating in the Family – Friendly Employer Label Program. Our company Marketex Offshore Constructions OÜ has been awarded with initial label as well, has passed the primary assessment and participates in the competition for the silver label.
The program will continue for three years, accompanied by a series of activities aimed at making employees feel that their employer creates an environment in which they not only feel comfortable, but that this environment itself supports them at different stages of their lives, including in terms of finding the perfect balance between family life and work.
According to Tanel Kiik, Minister of Social Affairs, a family-friendly employer provides support to employees at every stage of their lives. “Reconciling work and family life concerns us all. Joys and challenges accompany us at every age, whether it’s appearance of a new family member, children moving to adulthood, support of relatives, or perfection of skills in parallel with work. More and more organizations realize the importance of being flexible in working conditions and of providing comprehensive support to employees,” said Minister Kiik.
Riina Solman, Minister of Population, noted, that following the principles of a family-friendly approach has a positive impact on both employees and employers. “Choosing an employer, more and more employees are looking for ways to reconcile family life and work in order to live a more balanced life. It helps to find employment to those who otherwise will remain without a job, thereby helping to reduce the labour shortage issue”.
“We hope that activities Marketex Offshore Constructions announced within the framework of this program will extend more or less to all companies of the Group in Estonia and become an excellent continuation of creating and developing traditions aimed at employee welfare. That is why participation in the program can be considered an important milestone in the Group’s personnel development,” said Viktoria Goihinberg, HR Director for BLRT Grupp.
